More frequent exams and targeted screening for pets 7 years and older.
Caring for older pets, thoughtfully
Pets age much faster than we do. A 10-year-old dog or cat is roughly the equivalent of a 60-year-old person — and that means they need care that keeps up.
Twice-yearly exams
For pets 7 years and older, we recommend a wellness exam every six months. Many age-related conditions can develop quickly, and catching them early changes the outcome.
Senior bloodwork
Annual screening checks kidney function, liver function, thyroid hormones, and blood sugar. These are the most common areas where problems develop quietly before symptoms appear.
Joint and mobility care
Stiffness, hesitating to jump, or slowing down on walks are not just "old age" — they're often arthritis. We have safe, effective treatments to keep your pet moving comfortably.
Dental health gets harder with age
Senior pets benefit greatly from professional dental cleanings. We'll evaluate at every visit and recommend a cleaning when it's time.
Quality of life conversations
When your pet is in their final chapter, we're here to talk honestly. Pain management, hospice care, and difficult decisions — we walk with you through all of it.
